Yanno, I get that no man is an island, and that the eschaton hasn't happened yet, but that was the worst possible way to say it.
To be fair, this is the pronouncement of one "bishop", the validity of whose office is itself questionable. So it isn't quite accurate to say that the church is no longer Christian. However, that it is being led by people who are in no meaninfuls sense Christian has been, as you imply, abundantly clear for a long time.
